I'm at a loss to come up with a pithy post about Markoff's Web3.0 article yesterday, or Google's move to dominate all types of advertising so I'll take a moment to post some pretty paintings from the Brandywine River Museum in Chadds Ford, PA. I was there on the way to Maryland during my break between jobs.
The Brandywine is largely devoted to the Wyeth family. All I could have told you prior to the visit is that Andrew painted Christina's World. However, I was blown by the museum's "Factory" exhibit. Apparently, Andy Warhol took a special interest in Jamie Wyeth (known for his iconic pig painting) and invited him to paint at the Factory. Warhol took Wyeth to the city morgue to paint skulls and such, and the two worked in parallel on portaits of people like Arnold Schwarzenegger. It's too much for me to relate today. Check out this Blogcritics review for more.
The pig and crow are Jamie Wyeth, plus one Basquiat painting as well as his garbage can lid palate.
